“Gratitude,” religious historian and educator David McKay once said, “is measured by the nature of our actions.”

“If you are really thankful, what do you do?” asked philanthropist W. Clement Stone. “You share.”

“We should certainly count our blessings,” said scholar and educator Neal Maxwell, “but we should also make our blessings count.”

No matter who said it or how, the wish is the same: As we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, let’s make a grateful pledge to put our dreams into action and share our gratitude through meaningful service to others.
