VIRTUAL Social Media Platforms and Online Business Education: A Case Study (17W365-12)

Description

Although social media platforms have long been utilized for functions
such as personal communication, group entertainment, and even political
organization, they have recently been adapted for online business
education purposes as well. During a virtual field trip to North
Carolina State University (NCSU)’s Management Accounting campus within
Second Life, we will explore how traditional analytical methods for
assessing the effectiveness of business.

Learning Objectives
  1. Define the traditional methods for demonstrating the value of business education programs
  2. Describe the necessary modifications to address the unique features of virtual reality media
  3. Utilize the NCSU campus as a case illustration of the assessment process
