VIRTUAL Assessing Social Media Platforms and Online Business Education: A Performance Outcomes Management System (17W368-12)

Description

Southern Cross University (SCU), a public institution of higher
education in Lismore, Australia, has collaborated with Providence
College (PC) in Rhode Island, USA to develop a group of three virtual
reality campuses within Second Life in support of their learning
activities. During a virtual field trip to the “Commerce Town” business
education campus, we will explore how traditional systems of performance
outcomes management have been modified to exploit the unique
opportunities and address the unique risks of avatar-based learning
activities.
