Using the new AICPA Financial Instruments Quick Reference Guide, this webcast will explain how to value stock options. As companies try to attract a wider variety of investors, their capital structures have become increasingly more complicated. For example, a company might have a combination of several different varieties of common stock, with each class carrying different rights and privileges. This webcast will address the guide and show you how to value each different security within a company’s capital structure from the bottom-up.

  • Understand the basic derivatives that exist, like call options, put options and more
  • Identify valuation methodologies for derivatives (lattice models, binomial trees, Black Scholes and running simulations) and the relevant inputs
