PFP Boot Camp: Time Value of Money Concepts and Calculations (111W427A15)

Description

This session provides in-depth instruction in the basic use of the
financial calculator and its application in comprehensive financial
planning. Specific financial planning applications addressed here
include: amortization; life needs analysis; funding for future
purchases; education needs analysis; retirement needs analysis; long
term care needs analysis; and holding period return and other than
annual compounding. Participants will be able to solve for: net present
value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), uneven cash flow and serial
payments.

  1. Solve time value of money problems used to answer financial planning questions regarding meeting financial goals such as retirement and education, loans and mortgages, investment returns, etc
  2. Understand which type of calculation is preferable for the various financial planning goals and situations
