BLI PILOT PROGRAM: Excel Beginner to Intermediate (110107-16)

Description

Microsoft Excel has become an essential tool in today’s modern business
with ever increasing spreadsheets. Don’t get lost in the data. Improve
your proficiency in Excel by gaining an awareness of its essential
features.

Learning Objectives
  1. Learn Excel terminology, its makeup, and become familiar with how it interfaces with other applications, such as Outlook and Word
  2. Identify the main components of Excel like Menu Bar/Ribbon, Formula Bar, Sheets/Tabs, and the Quick Access Toolbar
  3. Demonstrate commonly used functions, such as Insert, Delete, and Sum, plus delve into Cell Referencing (Absolute and Relative), linking to other worksheets, Filters, Set Print Area, and popular formulas such as IF, Concatenate, Left, Right, Mid, and VLOOKUP
  4. Gain an awareness of some powerful Excel features like Conditional Formatting, Text to Columns, Tables, Pivot Tables, Data Connections, and Macros
