Come to this month’s seminar to listen to an update on local economic
conditions in Anne Arundel and surrounding counties as well as learning
about the minimum wage and overtime requirements of the federal Fair
Labor Standards Act and Maryland Wage and Hour Law. The topic will
briefly cover the wage payment requirements, record and time keeping
requirements, and exemptions to the overtime requirements.

Also covered will be the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and
its effect on employers in 2014 and 2015 broadly, with special emphasis
on the issues that may affect CPAs most: fees and assessments, the
Employer Shared Responsibility mandate, and employer information
reporting.
