This course will demonstrate the many underutilized internal control
features available in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks
clearly prioritizes ease of use and its intuitive interface over the
concerns of auditors and accountants but does have solid and ready to
use internal control options available.
Learning Objectives
Attendees of this course will become familiar with the various internal
control features that can be implemented in their QuickBooks files
Participants will see a demonstration of the available features, learn
how to use them and understand their good points and limitations

• An in-software demonstration of QuickBooks’ internal control features
such as closing date, audit trail, passwords and users and permissions
• Contrasting the features available in the Desktop and the Online
versions of the software (we will work in both during the course)
• Tips and tools for practitioners working on clients’ QuickBooks files
