Employee Benefit Plans are important to the hiring and retention of
employees for any business. However, they do present challenges to the
CPAs engaged to audit them and Plan Sponsors who administer them.
The Employee Benefit Plan Conference equips CPAs in public and private
sectors with guidance to better audit and operate Employee Benefit Plans
(EBP). The conference offers three tracks (Basic, Intermediate/Advanced
and Plan Sponsors), each dealing with issues that impact EBPs.
The Basic track walks through the required audit procedures for CPAs who
are new to auditing EBPs.
The Intermediate/Advanced track provides CPAs who are experienced in
auditing EBPs a more in-depth discussion of challenges in planning and
risk assessments, an update on accounting issues and insight on proper
auditing procedures to avoid trouble with the DOL.
The Plan Sponsor track will feature sessions on correcting and avoiding
plan errors, plan design and employee benefit and executive compensation
planning.
Learn more about accounting, auditing, and reporting requirements, and
receive updates on EBP legislative and regulatory issues, including
current developments at the Department of Labor.
