When you have an opportunity, check out IFACnet, a “global, multilingual search engine” developed by the International Federation of Accountants.

Robert Jensen, an emeritus accounting professor at Trinity University in San Antonio and a frequent contributor to the CPAs-L accounting listserv, offered details about the search engine in a recent CPAs-L post. Jensen quotes a recent International Accountant article:

“IFACnet … has expanded its resources to address the needs of small and medium accounting practices (SMPs), in addition to professional accountants in business,” the article reads. “IFACnet enables SMPs to easily locate information on a wide range of technical marketing, human resources and other matters, including such topics as succession planning, managing a small firm, staff recruitment and retention, and promoting firm services.”

Yet another weapon in the successful CPA’s arsenal …
