“If you don't have a vision for yourself (or your organization), you will just get sucked into someone elses' vision.” – Watts Wacker – futurist
Three sessions in the past week. Almost 200 CPAs and students discussing the future of the CPA Profession and the results of the CPA Horizons 2025 Project.
Here is the strategy on-a-page we created for the results of the CPA Horizons 2025 – (Vision, Purpose, Values, Competencies)
Overall reaction 47% loved it (Great research & results) and 53% liked it (Good job!), none said either “Live with it” or “Not relevant.”
On the Core Purpose, CPAs…Making sense of a changing and complex world, the results were:
- Love it 13.33%
- Like it 68.89%
- Live with it 15.56%
- Don't like it 2.22%
The students were even more enthusiastic about the rersults. They were very impressed that the Profession took the time to develop a grassroots approach to develop a vision for the future. The loved the competencies, and that the profession was trying to position itself in a rapidly changing world.
