What are the best markets for women in business? Bizjournals.com has the answers … and the Baltimore-Washington region comes out looking fairly good.

Bizjournals.com is the online home for Business Journal newspapers throughout the country, including those in Baltimore and Washington. It recently ran a package of articles that highlighted the top U.S. markets for female business owners and executives, with the San Francisco area finishing as the clear winner.

Coming in second was Washington D.C., “reflecting the impressive education levels of its female residents,” states Bizjournals. “Forty-four percent of Washington’s women have bachelor’s degrees, and 19 percent hold advanced degrees. Both figures lead the nation.”
