HB 407 passed the House unanimously after receiving a favorable report by the House Economic Matters Committee last week.

This bill gives the board the ability to impose up to a $5,000 fine on CPA firms. Prior to thus, the board's only option was to revoke or suspend the firm's license to practice. It was introduced by the Department and we are neutral on this one.
