I just finished reading the new Bizjournals ranking of the nation’s top-paying jobs. As usual, there’s plenty of good news if you’re a CEO, physician, dentist, lawyer or pilot; they’re the five highest-paying jobs in the land, according to the survey.

Meanwhile, financial managers ranked 15th and accountants and auditors ranked 64th in the survey, which analyzed the compensation for 323 occupations. In a separate ranking from CareerBuilder, financial managers came in 24th and personal financial advisors ranked 44th. Of course, accountants and financial managers who are also CPAs can expect to earn even more, according to the Institute of Management Accountants.
