We interrupt this blog for the following public service announcement:
OK, CPA firms — you're getting one more chance to complete the nation's largest practice management benchmarking survey.
The 2012 National MAP Survey has been live for a while now, and yet responses this year are lagging behind previous surveys. So you're getting one last chance to get off your tail and participate.
“What's in it for me?” you ask.
Here's what: The more firms that participate, the more accurate the data — which means you'll be better able to benchmark your firm against the rest of the profession in terms of billing rates, chargeability ratios, compensation, and other key performance indicators.
Here's how to access the survey, courtesy of the AICPA:
Managing partners and firm administrators, check your inbox for an e-mail with a personalized, secure link to the survey. If you did not receive an e-mail with a personalized link, you can access the survey here. You’ll be prompted for your information, and a personalized, secure link will be sent to you at that time.
The deadline for completing the survey has been extended to Aug. 17. You won't get another chance.
