We don’t have to look very far to find some of the profession’s most influential CPAs.
R. Christopher Rosenthal, CPA/ABV, ASA, a director in the Business Valuation/Forensic and Litigation Services Group at Ellin & Tucker, Chartered, has been named treasurer of the Maryland Republican Party, headquarterd in Annapolis. Chris, a former chair of the MACPA’s Business Valuation and Litigation Services Committee, is also a member of the boards of the South Baltimore Learning Center, the Pride of Baltimore and Civic Works.
He is the latest in a long line of MACPA members who have taken leadership positions with prominent state and national organizations.
- Wes Johnson, a long-time MACPA member who chaired the association’s Board of Directors in 1991-92, is the current chair of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.
- Robert Tarola, a senior vice president and CFO with W.R. Grace & Company, serves on the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s Standing Advisory Group. He is also an at-large member of the governing council of the AICPA and serves on the AICPA’s Assurance Services Executive Committee.
- Lisa Cines, managing partner with Aronson & Company, serves on the AICPA’s Board of Directors. She is also chair for Moores-Rowland International, an international association of independent of firms.
- Les Mostow, principal with Reznick Group, chairs of the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy.
