The MACPA’s influence on the accounting and finance profession continues to grow.

No fewer than 23 MACPA employees, members, and strategic partners have been included on Accounting Today’s 2018 list of “The Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting.”

Two of them — MACPA CEO Tom Hood and Kimberly Ellison-Taylor, an MACPA member and chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants — have been named the second- and third-most influential people in the profession. That’s even more impressive when you consider that AICPA CEO Barry Melancon is No. 1 and President Donald Trump is No. 4.

Other MACPA employees, members, and partners on this year’s Top 100 list are:

  • Erik Asgeirsson, CEO of CPA.com, an MACPA strategic partner
  • Ron Baker, founder of the VeraSage Institute and a BLI thought leader
  • Wayne Berson, CEO of BDO USA and an MACPA member
  • Chandra and Sharada Bhansali, co-founders of AccountantsWorld, an MACPA strategic partner
