Tom Hood, your friendly neighborhood blogger, CPA evangelist and MACPA executive director, has once again been named one of the 100 most influential people in accounting by Accounting Today.

Writes the magazine: “The veteran director of the Maryland society has blazed a 21st century technology and recruitment trail for others to follow, highlighted by the society’s migration to the virtual world of Second Life with CPA Island. Hood also has been an outspoken supporter of CPA mobility.”

In typical Tom fashion, he told me he’s merely standing on the shoulders of the MACPA staff, but he sees farther than almost anybody I know.
