Another day, another reason to celebrate Marylanders in our profession.

Less than a week after Anoop Mehta was elected chair of the American Institute of CPAs‘ 2022-23 Board of Directors, the list of Elijah Watt Sells Award winners for 2022 was announced by the AICPA and the list includes two young professionals with Maryland ties.

  • James Pevenstein, a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor of science in accounting and information systems. He is employed with CohnReznick in Tysons, Va.
  • Robert Paradiso, a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor of science in accounting. Robert is a seminarian for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre in New York and was formerly employed by Alvarez and Marsal in New York City.
